Ten peaks for Robert Steel

We’ve always known there were people who were brave, bold, and generous. Last week I wrote about a surveyor who had bequeathed £6 million to Naomi House. Now I learn of another surveyor from Hampshire who has raised £72,000 for charity while walking 650 miles and climbing the ten highest mountains in Britain. His name is Robert Steel. He is 87 years old.

The print edition of the Hampshire Chronicle reports this is not Steel’s first long walk. He has also strolled the entire coast of mainland Britain, which is 4,444 miles.
