Beginning last night and continuing into August in towns and cities across the United Kingdom, the public and veterans from all three Services are honouring the contributions made by the Armed Forces.

Rolf Harris spoke for everyone when he said, "I firmly believe without all those men and women, none of us would be here, you know, without the sacrifices they and their companions made, we wouldn't be living the life we live. And I think it's important to let them know how appreciated they are."

The benefit concert in the Painted Hall helped to raise funds for the "Not Forgotten" Association, which works for the benefit of disabled and wounded service and ex-service personnel - sailors, soldiers, airmen and women nationwide.
